UMBC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
2009 - 2010 ALUMNI LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP

UMBC students who are the children of UMBC alumni are eligible to apply for a $1,500 Alumni Legacy Scholarship from the UMBC Alumni Association.

To qualify, applicants must be degree-seeking undergraduates with at least 45 credits by January 31, 2009; must have completed at least one semester of study at UMBC; must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; and must demonstrate campus or community leadership and involvement. Only the son or daughter of a UMBC alumna/alumnus may apply for the Legacy Scholarship. Students on full scholarship may not apply.

Deadline for consideration is June 30, 2009. The award will be applied to the student’s account in the 2009 – 2010 academic year, half in the fall and half in the spring.

In addition to completing the form below, applications must include a letter of recommendation from a non-family member, to be sent to the UMBC Office of Alumni Relations, Attn: Legacy Scholarship Committee, 1000 Hilltop Circle, Baltimore, MD 21250.
