The National Society of Black Engineers, UMBC Chapter

The National Society of Black Engineers’ mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. Since its inception in 1987, the UMBC Chapter of NSBE has strived to promote the success of UMBC students both academically and professionally while providing personal growth opportunities through community service and workshops. The group enjoys collaborating with other campus organizations such as the NAACP and the Cultural Center.
