Free Checking requires no minimum balance and offers Free ATMs when an average monthly balance of $2,000 or more is met. That means PNC reviews your balance monthly and if it's $2,000 or more any ATM fees you've incurred that month from us or from another bank are reimbursed into your account.
Free Checking for Students includes all of the above plus our Money From Home option which makes it easier for parents to get money to their students while away from home.

For Free Checking: PNC Bank charges apply for use of another financial institution's or ATM operator's ATMs. Additionally, other financial institutions and/or ATM operators may charge for using their ATMs. PNC will reimburse these fees at the end of each statement cycle where the average monthly balance in the Free Checking account is $2000 or more. Fees for savings or money market transactions will not be reimbursed, regardless of account balance.
